Atty. Mark S. Barnett
Mark S. “Marcus” Barnett has spent virtually his entire life preparing for your case. Starting as a messenger, a legal assistant, and a file clerk at major law firms in South Florida and New York City, Marcus has now practiced law for over twenty years, in Miami and Jacksonville.
He began his career as an Assistant Attorney General, specializing in civil and criminal prosecutions, economic crimes, consumer protection, and environmental crimes. He then entered private practice in South Beach and Miami, where he handled criminal defense, federal practice, and general civil litigation, before moving to Jacksonville, and learning the personal injury practice from some of Jacksonville’s top plaintiff’s attorneys. He then practiced criminal defense and appeals, including complex federal prosecutions, drug cases, sex offenses, as well as DUI’s and misdemeanors for a top defense boutique firm.
Marcus founded his own practice in March 2017, so he could focus on giving personalized attention to the unique needs of each client. He has special expertise in crimes involving drug and alcohol addiction.
